Bon Festival

Last night I took the kids to Bon Festival which was held at the playground in primary school near my house.
夕べ家の裏にある小学校のグラウンドで盆踊りやってました。３人で行って来ました。


One big stage in the middle and the people were dancing `Bon Odori (Bon dance)` around it.
Everyone could join it but since I never knew how to dance, we were just watching from the side.

We can dance on the stage too. Last yr, Michan was dancing there but last night she had more interest in playing slide rather than the dance.

On the second, smaller stage here a Japanese drum or taiko is played.

Pool @ home

Summer has come and I can`t stand to the heat of it even only for a walk to a park or supermarket. Soo,, to avoid boredom of the kids at home, I bought this little pool at Toys R Us .









Yes, it`s fun fun fun fun in the pool ^^

She said `sandoichi oishii~` which means `the sandwich is tasty`



My husband and I had `Katsu don teishoku`. It was sooo yummyy.

Lake Kawaguchi 河口湖 part 1

Last Sunday we went for a drive to Lake Kawaguchi at Yamanshi Prefecture. It`s about 2 hrs driving and since some people has started their summer holidays, it was a bit crowded. We hoped to be able seeing Mt. Fuji at this trip but it was cloudy so we couldn`t see it at all.
日曜日に河口湖、山梨県へドライブしに行きました。約2時間のドライブだった。夏休みが始まったらしいのでちょっと混んでました。今回富士山見たいなと思ったら、残念ながらずっと曇りで全然見れなかった。














Next time if we come here again on a clear weather, we want to try to ride on this ropeway.
今度良い天気の時こちらに来たら、ロープウェイに乗って見たいな。
